In unincorporated Alameda County you
are required to register your alarm with the Alameda County Sheriff's
Department. The cost is $35.00 for two years, and $30.00 after
that. Seniors age 65 and older can have these fees waived. The
application is currently not online but may be in the near future.
Until that time you can contact Alameda County Sheriff's Dept. Alarm

obtain an application.

Fourth and thereafter - $175.00
Unpaid charges may be subject to a tax lien in
accordance with Section 4-6-410 of the Alarm Ordinance.
Alarm users must file an “Emergency Information Form”
with the Police Department annually. There is no annual fee
required at this time when submitted.
